TabletKiosk® All-In-One PCs Chosen by Chino Valley Unified School District Nutrition Services to be P.O.S. Terminals in School Cafeterias
Torrance, CA, April 6, 2016 —
In order to improve food service efficiency, Chino Hills Unified School District implemented Tablet PCs by TabletKiosk almost four years ago as mobile payment and ordering terminals. Food service personnel in the district are able to interact with students anywhere on campus by using Sahara Slate PC i500 Tablet PCs mounted on food carts manufactured by Cambro.
“Customer service at TabletKiosk is exemplary. Service with a smile is their moto. The [Sahara Slate PC] tablets are faster which helps in speeding up the serving lines at our secondary schools,” said Munira Bengali, Assistant Director Nutrition Services of the Chino Valley Unified School District.
So it was only natural that Chino Valley USD turned again to TabletKiosk when they needed to update their permanent P.O.S. terminals in the cafeterias at the secondary schools around the district. This time, they chose TabletKiosk’s 20” All-In-One (AIO) PCs to fulfill their requirements.
They wanted to keep lines moving as quickly as possible, so they needed a system with a fast processor, a larger high resolution display, could run their existing P.O.S software, and that could be seamlessly mounted onto the checkout counters. At the same time, they wanted the device to be compact and aesthetically pleasing, but still expandable.
Ultimately, they chose TabletKiosk’s AIO20 with a capacitive touch screen and Intel® Core™ i3 processor doing buffered serving with Pin Pads from Genovation. TabletKiosk provides local customer and technical support from its Nutrition Services team located in the Torrance, California, offices.
“The kitchen staff are enjoying the speed and clarity of the [AIO20] computers. It is very compact and takes less space than our old computers. The stands are very sturdy and have a good grip,” said Bengali, “The best part about this project was the customer service from Shon Mueller. It was a seamless upgrade, and he worked within our schedule rather than his.”
